Following a regular sleep routine calms and restores the body. Sleep can also improve your concentration, regulate mood, sharpen judgment, and sharpen decision-making. If you cant fall asleep, you can use lavender scented products, and you can try not to use any electronics before bed. The blue light from electronics prevents your brain from resting properly, so if you do use an electronic, try turning down the brightness to avoid blue light exposure to your eyes. Having a day off  can take your mind off of school work or tests/studying or anything that stresses you out or makes you feel anxious. For example, like watching your favorite TV show, or spending time with family and friends, or reading a book, etc. Whenever I have a day off I always feel so relaxed and stress free. By having a day off you can sleep in and have a relaxing day. Another option is to get together with friends or family and engage in an activity that improves your anxiety and stress. For example, taking a walk, sitting on the beach or going to a park. All of these things can help reduce stress and anxiety and help you have a healthier lifestyle.

3. Stress log

Keeping a stress log or journal can help reduce your stress and anxiety levels. Using a stress log can improve your mental health. To create a stress log you start by getting a journal or an online document. Once you’ve done that you have to fill in the log every time you go through a stressful situation or are stressed and fill in what happened and why did it make you stressed? How did you react? And rate the situation on a scale of 1-10. Make a chart to organize your pages and help you keep track of stressful situations. This can help you find the cause of your stress and avoid situations like that in the future.

4. Do things you love

Doing the things you love can improve your mental health. You can go to the beach, play your favorite sport and more, doing the things you love can send endorphins into your mind that make you relaxed and stressed. You can hang out with friends and play games. Eat your favorite candy or maybe you just want to stay inside with a blanket and a good book. Whatever makes you happy can also help relieve your stress.  Doing what you love Can reduce your stress levels and help improve your state of mind. Always take a day to do everything you love!

How that happens is your stress hormones are released and experience physical symptoms such as  a fast heartbeat, quicker breathing, and constricted blood vessels. Deep breathing exercises can help you activate your parasympathetic nervous system which controls your relaxation response. There are several deep breathing exercises to help you with stress and anxiety, such as diaphragm breathing, abdominal breathing, belly breathing and paced respiration

6. Avoid Procrastination

Procrastination can leave you scattering to catch up on school work, homework, etc. It can also affect your health and sleep quality. Procrastination can have a negative effect on students. For example schoolwork, grades, and overall health. To try to avoid procrastination you can work on getting on a schedule and set realistic goals for yourself that you can easily work on. If you have a big project coming up don’t wait until the last day to do it. Be responsible with your time and get the important things done first so you can have fun later.  This can help you create a healthier environment for you.
