What you need to know about Super Bowl LIV

The Kansas City Chiefs will play the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV this year. The game will be played at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on February 2. The stakes are high this year as both of the teams worked hard to get here. Both of the teams have good offenses and good defence. This article will provide the stats and analysis on the teams. If you read this article you will be ready to watch one of the biggest sporting events in the U.S.

To get you started you need to know what each teams strength and weaknesses are. The chiefs do not have a good run game which they will need to establish to beat the 49ers. Though they have the second best pass offence in the NFL. With this the 49ers have the best defece but this is only because of their run stopping. If the 49ers are going to keep up then they will need to have their pass defense in check. Unlike the Chiefs though San Francisco has one of the best running backs, Raheem Mostert. In his last game against the Packers, Mostert had a crazy game that consisted of 220 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Both teams had some wins and losses that got them to where they are. 49ers had a crucial win against the Seattle Seahawks last game of the season to win them home field advantage. This brings us to a major loss for the 49ers. This was against the seahawks midseason in overtime. This made it so they were second in there division for a very long time.

Chiefs had an amazing win against the Ravens. This was one of the two losses that the Ravens suffered in the regular season. Though losing against the Titans towards the end of the season was a let down for Chiefs fans. Without this loss the Chiefs could have been in first place for AFC.

Even though both of these teams are even there are predictions from the experts. First you have to know the odds. The Chiefs are a one point favorite in the latest 49ers vs Chiefs odds according to CBS sports. NFL expert Mike DeCourcy said “This pick is not as comfortable to make as the recent College Football Playoff title game, which was like a wide-open layup, but the Chiefs offense appears to have the magic necessary to counter the impressive 49ers D.” He predicted the game to be 28 to 21 Chiefs. Though he picked the Chiefs, some people picked the 49ers. Another NFL expert Zac Al-Khateeb said “It seems the 49ers are clearly the better of the two conference champions entering Super Bowl 54, thanks in large part to the myriad ways they can beat opponents. San Francisco saw stellar play from both its defensive front and secondary, and it got such a good performance from running back Raheem Mostert that Jimmy Garoppolo only needed to throw eight passes in an NFC championship game that was over by halftime.” He predicted the game to be 38 to 31 49ers. This just shows that even experts can’t agree on who will win this game. Shown by the predictions it is sure to be a close game.

To sum it all up, this is going to be a very close game. Both teams have strengths and weaknesses, but there can only be one winner. The game is on February 2 and is going to be played at 3:30pm. The Chiefs are going to need their quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, to play amazing. The 49ers are going to need the best defensive game they have had all season. Both teams need to play the hardest they can to win the game and the Lambardi trophy.
