Before Coca Cola came in, Santa was a lot more religious and looked a lot more skinny. He was mostly know from his kindness, stories, and how nice he was to the homeless or kids that didn’t have a lot. It was believed that Clark Moore and Thomas nast had a lot to do with Santa’s birth in 280 AD.  He was also believed to be a monk.

Have you ever had a coca cola during the holidays. Well Coca Cola used santa to advertise Coca Cola. Coca Cola also used Santa to advertise other products like Diet Coke. They advertised their drinks by putting bows or snowflakes on the labels. They also put much more Christmas themes on it. This probably made them a ton more money, because who doesn’t like Santa. This same advertizing even happens today, but it started in 1800! Thats a long time ago. All this helped Coca Cola become the multi- million dollar company you see everywhere. Next Christmas, if you buy a coke, look to see if you see a christmas themed label!

It almost that time of year when presents are under the tree and Santa is coming. For most people, the big red guy is everyone’s favorite holiday. But did you know Santa Claus was originally green?

This all happened by Thomas Nast who drew Santa Claus in the green suit.

Tomas was a German born Charachestics artist, who was very popular. He was also an artist for the New York Times. He was so popular from all the work he was doing from NYT, books, and all the characteristics. Also he was  considered to be “the Father of American Cartoon.” Layet  he started to work at Coca Cola and they made him red and white to advertise their products.

Another person who helped with santa’s creation was  Clement Clark Moore. He helped with all the stuff giving him a slay and a sack of toys on his back. He also wrote the famous poem the night before Christmas. Thomas Nast and Moore came up with santa Together

Now Santa and Coca Cola is holiday tradition. They have been together so long, it’s almost like coca cola owns Santa. But it is good that Coca Cola made Santa because who doesn’t like Santa today, which means they did pretty good job
