Twix, the candy bar, is made of a crispy biscuit, mixture with other other toppings and coats, carmel on the top layer, and milk chocolate to surround everything and wrap it all together. It’s enjoyed by many people all over the world. The Twix bar can vary size, but all look the same, except some are bigger and some are smaller.
The Twix has quite a history! The Twix was invented in 1967, in the United Kingdom, then released in the United States in 1979. This candy bar wasn’t called Twix when it was first invented. It was called “The Raider” and then after many years it was changed to Twix in 1991. The person who thought of this delicious invention was a man by the name of Forrest Mars Senoir. He thought of this bar in the 1930’s, and ended up going to market in 1967. Over the years, “The Raider” passed through Western Europe. The Twix was made the Slough Factory with other candies such as Snickers, Skittles, Topics, and Starbursts.
The PB or Peanut Butter Twix was invented in the 1980 when the Twix business was running on little money. The Twix company knew they had to do something, so that’s when they came out with the PB Twix. Luckily, the PB Twix was a huge success. All over the market, more and more people came in to but this amazing product, but unfortunately shortly after that, the PB Twix was shut down. Today, the PB Twix is back on the market.
The Twix Bar had a commercial. This commercial tried to tell everyone that there were two different sides to the Twix. Twix was trying to tell viewers that the two sides of the Twix (right and left) were different, but it turned out they were not. Throughout the commercial, both sides of the bar were explained for a minute about how they were different. This commercial had tricked everyone into thinking the two different sides in the Twix were different until people found out the truth of this huge lie.
Each Twix Bar weighs 2 ounces, with 286 calories, 11 grams of fat, 4 mg of cholesterol, 113 mg of sodium, 106 mg of potassium, 37 g of total carbohydrate, and 4 mg of caffeine per package. This candy bar isn’t the most healthy, as you just read, but it does have 2.8 grams of protein and 3% of Vitamin B-12. 8 grams of sugar in bar is not good for you health, but people can’t avoid this very popular candy.
